As the application period of the World Bank Young Professionals program is upon us once again, the World Bank Group (WBG) has organized a webinar to share more about the program and answer many of your questions.
For those who don’t know, for over 50 years, the Young Professionals Program has attracted some of the brightest young minds to contribute to the World Bank Group’s top priorities, from poverty eradication, social development, and climate change to the current response to the COVID-19 crisis. I’m proud to be among the World Bank YPs.
The program is now accepting applications, for various roles at the World Bank, IFC and MIGA. If you are 32 or younger with a passion for international development or finance, graduate-level education, relevant work experience, language skills and leadership potential, I invite you to apply or forward this to qualified individuals who wish to pursue a career with global impact.
I will be taking part in a World Bank Career Fairy Live Stream on Thursday, 24 June at 9 PM Washington DC time (10:00 am June 25th Japan time). If you or someone you know is applying to the Bank, register for this event to learn more about the WBG YPP.
Applications open June 15 – July 15 for roles across the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA). During the event, you will learn more about how the program recently expanded to develop future leaders to collaborate effectively across our institutions, on joint solutions to development challenges. The event will begin with a presentation followed by breakout rooms, where Young Professionals will share their experience and tips for applying.
WBG staff are recruited from around the world, with preference to nationals of WBG member countries and countries of operations. Please check the website for more information.
All the best!
